CRDF is announcing a call for proposals to participate in an Industry Partner Development Event: Optics & Photonics.

Grant Competition to meet U.S. companies at Optics & Photonics Conference  

The U.S. Civilian Research & Development Foundation (CRDF) is announcing a call for proposals to participate in an Industry Partner Development Event: Optics & Photonics.  CRDF's Partner Development Events provide a unique opportunity for Eurasian scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs to meet and develop partnerships with U.S. companies.

The Optics & Photonics Partner Development Event will be held in conjunction with SPIE Optics & Photonics 2006 Conference in San Diego, California August 13-17, 2006.  Selected grantees will present their commercially oriented innovations at a CRDF sponsored panel during the conference. A business training session will be provided for the grantees before the event and company meetings may take place during and after the event.

Eligibility: Applicants must have research that has applications in: detectors and imaging devices, optical instrumentation, and organic photonics and electronics, and optical systems and an engineering prototype or commercial activity that can be demonstrated in the U.S.  Please note that competency in English is required, as interpreters will not be provided at the conference.  For full eligibility requirements and proposal submission instructions, see the full program announcement.

  External business reviewers will evaluate applications based on their business plan, commercial viability, resources, and market potential of the product, service, or technology.
